The best Nigerian fraud narrative I’ve heard involves the story of a supposed Nigerian astronaut who was stranded on the international space station fourteen years ago in a mix-up over some Soviet cargo. Naturally his fate, hushed up, became an embarrassment to his government. And so, the Nigerian government would be willing to pay about fifty thousand dollars if you might be willing to allow your bank account to be used as a discrete pass-through to pay the Russians to get the astronaut back down to Earth.
